Treat her like a lady

I sometimes wonder why guys never do what’s necessary to treat women like ladies. I mean you never see men opening doors for women or paying the bill at a restaurant. What’s going on? Where’s the romance? Where is the conversation? Nowadays, young men don’t appreciate the classics, such as the Isley Brothers, Bobby Womack, and Johnnie Taylor. These singers expressed their feelings and romance through songs of love. What bothers me is the conversation that is exchanged between men and women on Prairie View’s campus. It is pathetic. I truly believe that Prairie View men need to step up and perform. Young men are not being taught how to treat a lady.

The women of this century are looking for men with conversation. So what’s wrong with men claiming to be strong? You’re just not as strong as you think. Women who just need a friend that can make them laugh just as well as be their motivator and encourager always approach me. Mainly, women need an educated man who will go back to tradition. The tradition is being romantic. I mean helping her down the stairs, pouring her a drink of water, or cooking for her.

I remember when I was a freshman, I got caught up being romantic. The quickest way to get to a woman’s heart is to tell her how much you appreciate her company and give her something as simple as a love note. I used to dedicate songs from KPVU to that special lady. She was everything until I messed up. I talked to her lately and she said, “NOBODY HAS EVER DONE THE THINGS YOU DID FOR ME.”

I see why the old school alumni are catching the young women now out of school and marrying them. I guess it’s not enough of us to go around.
