“Although we have come to the end of the road”These are the lyrics of a song by Boys II Men “End of the Road.” These 4 amd a half years have been interesting. I have gained so many friends along the way. I feel like I am having deja vu. Just yesterday I graduated from high school and departed from my friends; now I am repeating the cycle in college. It is no more I see you in the fall because you are graduating. To my parents, Clifford & Alberta Aaron. “Thank you” because you are truly an inspiration. Mom I love you because you gave me life and introduced me to God. You taught me to trust in him and will direct my path in life. Dad, you taught me about the world and life’s struggles I will face while entering. You gave me knowledge with your wisdom about historical facts.
To my sister Geneva there are no words that can describe the love I have for you. You brought into the world a baby girl in 1992 and now she has blossomed into a beautiful young lady. I love you Alexis!! To Rook (Christina) & Denise, we have climbed that “corporate ladder” together on the newspaper staff. We went from interns to editors in one semester. We set our goals for the newspaper and conquered them all. Rook you are little sis, I watched you grow up the past couple years, into an outspoken young lady. I hope you reach every dream you set for yourself and I hope one day that I will see you on the real “red carpet” for best film. Denise, roommate for the summer, we laughed at burned corn dogs and crazy preachers. I wish you the best.
To the upcoming staff of the newspaper; Nneka, Rashad, Otis, Latisha, Alanna, Marques, and anyone else I left out: I leave you with the inspiration to take what Rook, Denise, and I set out for you and take it to the next level. You guys can excel at whatever you set your mind to do. I want you to set the tone and excel above what we accomplished and attribute your own success for the next crew of journalists. To my closest friends on the yard, Kimika and Ashland ,we finally made it!! It seems like yesterday we were laughing about the haunted house we visited on Halloween and how scared we were. I wish the best of luck in the future to both of you and we will always have the “Haunted Mansion.”
To Mr. Smith “Smithers” I am so glad you have been in my corner. Mr. Smith, there are not many teachers that go to the length you do for us. You care about the well being of all your students and that is rare. You are the “Godfather” I never had. There is never a dull day in the office with you. Thank You so much for everything you have done for me.
To my residents of building 37, I leave you with the knowledge of knowing me “Ms. A.” I am just playing, you guys have taught me so much through the course of the year and I am glad that I was able to know each and every one of you. I hope each of you will be successful at whatever you want to do. To Ms. Green I thank you for wisdom you have shared with me, I truly appreciate everything you have helped me with this year. To Ms. Grice “Superman” I am glad that I was able to get to know you throughout this year and I hope you achieve every goal you set for yourself.
I love you guys and will miss all of you. Holla!
