PV’s Freshest

Latina temptress from the Northside of Houston, Texas, Lorena Sanchez was born on July 29, 1987.Sanchez came to PV for two reasons. One being that PV has an excellent nursing program, and secondly because PCI, a summer institute involved with Project Grad, gave Lorena a $4,000 scholarship to attend PV.

With a major in nursing and a minor in physical therapy, Sanchez hopes to one day earn a doctorate degree in nursing and work at the Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston.

Sanchez is a dancer for the University College Football League and hopes to become a member of the National Nursing Association and a PAL next year. With Spanish being her first language learned, Sanchez is embraced in a family of five siblings and comes from the first Mexican-American generation in her family. Her inspiration is self-derived because she is the first in her family to attend college and hopes to inspire her siblings to do the same.

This 5 feet and 2 inches Leo is a much laid back dresser, usually sporting flip-flops or tennis shoes and saves her club attire for the weekends. Sanchez loves the smell of Gucci’s perfume Envy Me and men who wear any cologne by Armani. Her hobbies include salsa dancing, going to the park, and hanging out with friends. Her favorite actor is Denzel Washington, favorite actress, Jennifer Lopez, and her favorite artist is Frankie J.

Sanchez wants everyone to know that, “If anyone wants to learn how to dance to salsa music, I’m your girl!!”

Eric Jimenez is a 19-year-old music lover who came to PV because he wanted to be a member of the marching band. Jimenez is what the band calls a new member, a “crab” in the PV Marching Storm with a starting position as a marching trumpet. He loves the band because of their musical selections, reputation, and style of play.
Born in Houston, Texas, Jiminez comes from a family of three siblings with his older brother being his motivation for attending college and encouraging his dreams of pursuing music professionally. With a major in music education with emphasis on the saxophone, he hopes to one day become the band director for an at risk high school exposing students to the power of music.

Jimenez enjoys playing and listening to music, as well as hanging out with friends. He is involved in the League of United Latin American Citizens, where he is proud to witness hispanic students getting involved in exposing Latin culture to the student body here at PV. Eric’s favorite TV show is Family Guy, his favorite artist is a jazz saxophone player by the name of Charlie Parker, and his favorite person is girlfriend Lorena Sanchez, who happens to be PV’s Freshest female for this week.
