
The highly anticipated Probate Spring 2007 was held Monday in the William “Billy” J. Nicks field house. Spectators filled the Baby Dome to maximum capacity, all anxious to see which organizations would be unveiling new members.The New Membership Showcase, or “Probate,” is an opportunity for organizations to present their new inductees to students and faculty.
The Spring 2007 showcase proved to be one of the most exciting and entertaining events thus far for Spring Fest 2007.
The event featured a wide array of C.S.O. organizations, as well as organizations in the Pan-Hellenic council.
Freshman Erika Payne said, “I really enjoyed probate, it was obvious that everyone had worked really hard. Each new member in the organizations showed heart and commitment.”
Representing the C.S.O. organizations were Karnation Kourt, Inc., Sigma Alpha Iota, International Music Fraternity for Women, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Gamma Sigma Sigma National Service Sorority, Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity, Inc., and Nu Gamma Phi.
Delta Sigma Theta, Sigma Gamma Rho, and Kappa Alpha Psi represented the Pan-Hellenic Council.
Senior Sylvia Aludogbu said, “All the organizations were good but the first real sorority held it down. I am so proud to be a member of the Devastating Divas of the Eta Beta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
