As the university ended the fall 2008 academic semester, the PVAMU community mourned the loss of freshman Kristopher L. Bookman, 18, who died Wednesday Dec. 10 in an auto accident near Texas Highway F.M. 159, while traveling north bound on Texas 6 reports the university’s public relations office.
Bookman was pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
Weeks later, the Prairie View community loss freshman Cameron Burleson. He died in the morning of Jan. 1.
Burleson recently completed his first semester at PVAMU and planned to pursue a degree in architecture.
