Lil’ Mike

Is it the explosive first step or the killer crossover that makes defenders look like child’s play or is it the graceful and suttle silk like moves that leaves fans asking themselves did you just see that and with his off season improvement in his perimeter game, ungaurdable might be an understatement when considering Michael Griffin aka lil Mike.

The young guard from long beach California was raised with 3 siblings and his mother and father who had a strong influence in his life, considering himself as a momma’s boy, his dad always seen the potential mike possessed at the tender age of two. So when he was able to join a league one year younger than the rest of the boys, age was just number because his skills showed to be far superior to the rest of his older peers. As mike game matured so did his hype. His game started to resemble some of his child hood greats such as magic Johnson who played for the Los Angeles Lakers in the early and late 80’s with the flashy and brilliant court vision and the ability to productively get all of his team involved in the game. Although these attributes helped him as a player but mike wasn’t content with just passing the ball, he decided to increase his all around game by stepping it up on the defensive end of the court while increasing his natural ability to score the basketball. Mike would go on to win many awards in numerous leagues and become one of the top recruits in the country, leaving out his senior year.

Now attending Prairie View A&M University many things haven’t changed with Mike on the court. His game is still getting better and pleasing anyone who attends with outstanding plays. So when Mike steps on the court, lights, cameras, action, because it’s show time.
