Students dressed in business attire entered the MSC ballroom on Jan. 27 for a Career Fair hosted by the College of Business.
The fair was arranged in a setting that was small yet informal and personable allowing students to sit down and hold conversations with some of their potential employers.
The participating companies included Conoco Phillips, Edward Jones, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Federal Reserve Bank, ING, Lockheed Martin, Spectra Energy, and State Farm.
“I enjoyed the fair because it was smaller than the main career fair,” said junior finance major James Murphy. “I was able to actually sit down and hold a conversation with the employers rather than feel rushed with a quick five minute introduction and resume hand-out.”
The size of the fair stood out the most to the students. The arrangement allowed the students to not only seek future employment and internships but to hold in-depth conversations that would further help them with their professional business development.
