SIFE didn’t allow the University College talent show to steal the night on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010. To continue Texas Fashion Week, SIFE produced a fashion show for their evening event. Each day SIFE dedicated a day to someone inspiring in fashion. On Wednesday, the day was dedicated to House of Dereon designer Tina Knowles.
The show was set to begin at 8 p.m., but because of the talent show on the first floor it was on hold until guests filled the seats. Instead of waiting in silence and everyone becoming impatient; SIFE entertained their guests by allowing DJ Mighty E Mouse spin tunes from oldies to modern time hits. The runway was in the shape of a Plus (+) sign and the seats were arranged in the four corners of the multicultural Student Center Ball Room.
After everyone was seated and the show could finally begin, SIFE announced that JUST BRITNEY, an R&B artist from Houston was included in the model lineup as their guest model. The show was filled with young talented designers who attend Prairie View A&M University.
From Sunglass designers to T-shirt designs, the students showcased their amazing talent, and had a splendiferous event. Who knew Prairie View A&M had such talent? Great job SIFE for the production of a great show!
