Women in today’s society vary from culture to culture. It seems as though there are different versions of women sprouting up in different corners of the Earth. Although there may be differences in culture, personality, and values, women of all races uphold one thing in common: individualistic strength. “A woman remains strong through her circumstances,” Dalia Oyiboke stated, “She is empowering through her care taking, her actions of love, and the extremes she goes through to take care of the ones she loves. A real woman holds her head up high through adversity.”
Individualistic strength is not determined by beauty nor by humanistic standards, but by personal perseverance through life’s troubles. A woman never apologizes to anyone for her beauty she sprouts- inside or out. “A real woman has a good relationship with Christ and develops her inner beauty rather than being overly concerned about her outward appearance and how society views it,” junior Kemi Adesodun said, “Of course a woman should take care of herself and look her best; however, it is far more important to develop an inner spirit of Godliness.” Junior Ridge Cooper agrees with Adesodun, “A woman is a giver of life, who fears God and has innate ability to show compassion and care towards people.”
What is so empowering about women? Senior Lewebster Lacy said, “What is so empowering about women is their ability to be caring and supportive at the time of reasoning when men are unable to do so.”
Junior Yandeh Jallow said, “To be an empowering woman, she has to maintain sophistication while everything around her may be falling apart. She supports those around her by uplifting them and knows when to let go if people are not respectful towards her. She is God-fearing and not afraid to show her love for the Lord.”
A true woman is true to herself, her life, and the power of her heart. A woman, the strong source of life.
