The Lady Panthers participated in the Penn Relays at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, the last meet before SWAC.
The Lady Panthers ended the meet strong with the 4×100-meter relay team, consisting of runners Destiny Jernigan, Terracia Moody, Kaylon McNeal and Margret Harris. The Panthers ended with a season best time of 47.17.
The Lady Panthers sprint medley relay team consisted, Myesha Dixon, Harris, Moody and Branee Robinson ran an overall time of 4:09.42. Andrea Chambers, who participated in the shot put, posted her top throw of the year with a length of 12.6 (41-4.25) meters.
The team will travel to New Orleans, La. next weekend, to participate in the SWAC Outdoor Championships at the Tad Gormley Stadium. The SWAC Championships will take place between April 30 and May 2.
The women’s track team hopes to bring home the SWAC Championship next weekend.
