A recent study over the past five years has found that out of the numerous students who get tested at the on campus Health Center, only three have been HIV positive,:however, 439 students tested positive for some type of STD in the year 2009 alone.

Many precautions are available to prevent these crucial results, such as using contraceptives and practicing abstinence. The number one birth control method is latex condoms, or even more so, abstinence.

Condoms and testing are available in the Health Center Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
