The Prairie View A&M men’s cross country team placed fifth in the annual HBU/Puma Cross Country Invitational in Houston Friday morning.
Freshman Bernardo Benavides was Prairie View’s top performer who finished 18th with a time of 16:17.4 in the men’s 5K race. Pat Range ranked second on the team as he finished 24th overall with a run of 16:44, while Abel Simie placed third (25th overall) after clocking 16:45.8. Adrain Davis, Michael White, Shawn Morris and Atavion Brown rounded out the finishers for the Panthers with times of 17:34.5, 18:10, 20:47.8 and 22:14.5, respectively.
