Students, alumni and “future Panthers” gathered along University Drive and throughout campus to watch the march of pride and unity as the homecoming parade took place early Saturday morning.
As the floats took off at 9:15 a.m., the Panther spirit filled the air and energized the crowd of PV fans.
“My favorite part of the parade was the alumni and student unity,” said sophomore nursing major Jonathan James. “The alumni black foxes caught my attention the most.”
The parade hosted more than 100 participants, including the Marching Storm and the royal court. Dancers, step teams, cheerleaders, Greeks, and a plethora of student organizations offered entertainment.
“I enjoyed seeing the younger generation. It felt good to see that some things haven’t changed,” said alumnus Markus Wright.
