The Prairie View men’s basketball team faced off against the Mississippi Valley Devils Saturday, Jan. 22.
Unfortunately, the Panthers trailed with a 33 point setback, leaving the score 63-96 , PVAMU (2-4) in conference, and the Devils (5-1).
Prairie View had a close opportunity to win against Arkansas-Pine Bluff, but they ended up losing by five points going into double overtime, losing 90-85.
Prairie View was down by one leading into half time. Four minutes into the second half the Panthers had its largest lead of the game 47-42.
Prairie View had a chance to lead by four, one minute left in the game, but missed the free throws.
The score tied 69-69 with 22 seconds left in the game, but the Panthers missed a three-pointer on their last possession, which forced them into overtime.
The Panthers are currently (5-15) for overall games so far this season, and hopefully they will have better luck when they host the Alabama State game this Saturday.
