Students were given the opportunity to voice their concerns about academic and residential issues Wednesday during the “POWER” town hall meeting.
With remarks like “The library? Do you mean Club Coleman?” and “Financial aid is helpful when they want to be,” being uttered by students, the meeting addressed many issues head on, demanding results and answers from the administrators present.
Students’ main issues seemed to be the lack of assistance in the Office of Financial Aid, the poor quality of food in the MSC, and the insufficient amount of housing provided on campus.
Fred Washington, vice president of Administration and Auxiliary Services suggested letting students from SGA design the menu for one month as a solution.
“We are re in the middle of a master plan in reference to housing, additional parking, larger laundry facilities, and more dining halls; we are trying to expand,” Washinton said to address many of the students’ objectives.
