Springfest 2011 kicked off in an exciting fashion with the 2011 Spring Probate show held in the Baby Dome Monday.
For current sophomores, this was the first chance to see a probate show on campus. After more than a year without membership intake, Greek organizations are now better able to resume full participation and future intake.
Many Greek-lettered organizations displayed their colors, values, and pride. To make up for lost time, many sorority and fraternity members were in attendance to welcome their new members.
“The probate was great. I’ve never seen the Baby Dome that packed,” said sophomore marketing major Damian Young. “Everybody came out to see who crossed and I’m excited to see the Greeks back on the yard.”
Sophomore communications major Jasmin Jones said, “Hold yourself to a higher standard before you pledge. You should be looked at in a good way at all times. I feel like I have grown a lot through the membership intake process. Getting ready for probate was pretty hard because we went to Albuquerque, N.M; for three days and we had to practice there.”
