Junior communications major Jarren Small and junior criminal justice major Nickolas Hallman were elected Student Government Association 2011-12 president and vice president Tuesday.
Small accumulated more votes than his two opponents combined with 445 total votes. Junior nutrition major Christine Williams received 218 votes while junior criminal justice major Lashun Neal got 214 votes.
“There’s a lot that needs to be done as far as restructuring,” said Small. “Not only should there be action but it needs to happen at a rapid pace. The first task on my agenda is getting my E-board together so we can brainstorm ideas and make sure this coming year runs smoothly. There’s no time to play at all. We must push for results.”
Hallman and his opponent junior architecture major Trevon Heath were close with 463 and 409 total votes respectively.
The results will be official Thursday, April 7 at 5 pm after careful review by the Judicial Court.
