UH hands women’s tennis 6-0 defeat

HOUSTON – The women’s tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to the University of Houston on Sunday afternoon at the Cougar Tennis Courts.

The Lady Panthers fought hard in doubles as UH picked up the early point. The tandem of Raven Lewis and Lerato Ndlovu dropped an 8-4 decision at No. 1 while Brittany Harrell and Alejandra Barrera fell 8-5 at No. 2. PV’s third team of Lise Karenzi and Alix Thomas fell 8-0.

In singles, Barrera had the strongest outing for PV as she fell 6-2, 6-3 at No. 4. Harrell dropped a 6-3, 6-0 decision at No. 2, while Karenzi and Lewis lost by identical 6-1, 6-0 scores. Thomas and Ndlovu rounded out the match as both fell by margins of 6-0, 6-1.
