Panthers fumble in North Dakota

 The Panthers football team suffered a devastating loss to last season’s NCAA Division 1 champions, the North Dakota State Bisons in Fargo, N. D., at the FargoDome.
 The game did not start off well for the Panthers. The North Dakota Bisons scored a touchdown the first three and a half minutes of the game on an 11-yard pass play. From the first touchdown the Bisons dominated home field scoring with three touchdowns, one touchdown being a 69-yard pass down field to Zach Vraa.
Junior QB Jerry Lovelocke lost 21 yards the first quarter. The performance from the first quarter carried over to the next with the Panthers, starting with a false start penalty bringing them back 5-yards.
The Panthers were still not able to get past the Bison’s 50 in the second quarterNorth Dakota scored a quarter high 28 points in the second quarter, ending the half with a 45-0 lead the Bison were relentless.
 The North Dakota Bison completed 30 first down to the Panthers 10 in the game.
Dominating the Panthers the entire game North Dakota lost only four rushing yards gaining 324 in the game. The Bison also had four passing touchdowns.
North Dakota’s defense continued to smother, finishing the third quarter 59-0.
Through all the disappointment in the game the Panthers did not give up scoring their first touchdown with 5:17 left in the game.
The North Dakota Bison continue to have an undefeated record for the season, and the Panthers drop to a 0-4 season record.
The Prairie View Panthers have a 0-2 conference record for the season and still have a chance at the SWAC title.
They will have a chance get closer to the SWAC Sept. 29th at Jackson State.
