With a 9-13 overall season record and a SWAC season record of 4-5, Prairie View A&M men’s basketball team stands in the middle of the pile in the conference rankings.
The team has an 8-1 home record. Home court advantage has truly been the Panthers’ friend, scoring a team high of 107 points in a home game.
Making the William “Billy” J. Nicks building a horrible site for competitors, filling the stadium with purple, gold, and full of school spirit from general fans, to the Greek organizations, and Prairie View’s official fan club the Gold Members Club creating intensity for opponents.
The same thing cannot be said about the away record every road trip for the Panthers has been a road kill having a 0-11 away record. For the season winning no away games for the season.
Every SWAC team has defeated the Panthers in an away game. Has home court advantage became the only advantage Prairie View men’s basketball team have against competitors? Will this change for the next five away games in the season?
Currently in fifth place there is plenty of room for improvement for the Panthers to become SWAC champions.
