The Lady Panthers scored in the first inning for the sixth straight game as freshman Peyton Simms hit a leadoff triple and scored on Alisa Navarro’s sacrifice fly.

In the bottom of the seventh, Grambling refused to go down quietly as they led the inning off with a single and eventually loaded the bases with only one out.
With the bases loaded, PV pitcher Cally Falls came up with a big bases-loaded strikeout but GSU answered with a two-out single to draw within 4-3.
However, Falls and the PV defense buckled down as she forced a game-ending grounder to third to seal the win.
Freshman Tiffany Robertson and Flores led PV with a pair of hits while Falls improved to 9-6 on the season.
The Lady Panthers return to action on Tuesday as they’ll travel to UH-Victoria for a 1 p.m. doubleheader at the Victoria Youth Sports Complex.
