During the holidays it should be all about family. There is nothing like gathering around the fireplace, singing your favorite Christmas carol with the people you love. Or watching your crazy uncle, as he gets drunk and starts telling stories of his childhood. This Christmas I hope you all have the merriest, jolliest time you can. Sit back and breathe in the nutmeg and thank God for gracing you with the opportunity to enjoy the birth of Christ. As you enjoy your Christmas, remember the real meaning of the season. It’s not about Santa and his reindeer flying through the air to deliver gifts. It’s about us as a nation celebrating the greatest gift that has ever been given to mankind, Christ.
The New Year will be here before you know it. Make a vow, stick to it, and deliver on whatever promise you are going to make to yourself. Remember, your word is your bond. Although I have not always been good at doing what I say I will do, this is a new year with new beginnings.
As I leave the campus of Prairie View for my break, I am especially happy for the bonds I have here with people I love. I have learned to appreciate the people in my life while we share the same oxygen. This article is dedicated to my old friends and my new friends. It is with pleasure and all the love in my heart I embrace my new Blue family. I want you guys to know that you all are everything I could have ever hoped for and more. I have never felt so loved and united with a group of people. Merry Christmas and happy New Year to all. And to my Blue family, one love, one dove, z phi…, so sweet…, Blue Phi!!!
