Hello Panthers! Welcome back for the 2005-2006 school year.As the new “lifestyles, health, arts, and entertainment” editor, I am very excited about the quality of information that I hope to bring to the student body for the upcoming year.
I hope that the content The Panther writers and myself bring forth every week is valuable, and meaningful to the masses of students on the yard.
For this issue of the paper I was instructed to say something influential for my fellow peers.
This summer I had a lot of time to think about how important decisions are. It’s a rather simple word, but can make such an impact if you choose the wrong thing to do.
The choice you have made by attending college is a decision that is going to put us, minorities, at the top of our game. We don’t want to ever fall short of our superior potential.
As students, we should decide to stop making excuses for ourselves and get on the grind because in the end it’s only going to be us to account for ourselves.
I have faced decisions in my life that have steered me the wrong way many times. It is understood that the inevitable is going to happen, but as long as you take it as a lesson learned there is only the fullness of your life to gain.
