1. Were you aware of the financial aid priority deadline for 2007-2008?
2. If not, then it was March 15.
3. Are you aware that once you have submitted the 2007-2008 FAFSA it is the only document required unless you were selected for verification or have a past due balance?
4. Have you completed the new loan process (Opennet)? if not you will have to complete it for summer or fall financial aid loans. 5. Did you know that you can check Opennet Web site to view the status of your loan at any time?
6. How many students viewed the new financial aid Web site?
7. Have you been checking your PVAMU e-mail account daily?
8. If not, you need to start because this is the main way of communicating with PVAMU students.
9. Do you know that you can check your award summary via Panthertracks instead of waiting in line at the financial aid office?
10. If there is no award then check student requirements to see if you have done everything you need to do.
11. Are you aware that there is a November 15 deadline to submit verification documents for 2007-2008?
12. Do you know what Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) is? If not, then you can read about it on the financial aid Web site.
13. Are you aware that there is an appeal procedure in place for students who do not meet SAP?
14. Do you know that once you are awarded, you will receive notification via mail or e-mail?
15. How many students know how to read their billing statements? If you don’t, then call Treasury Services at 936-261-1903?
16. Did you know that your Panthertracks/Opennet ID and passwords are not the same?
17. Did you know that the financial aid department does not issue refund checks? 18. If you did not know, you need to go to the treasury service department (Cashier Window) located in W.R. Banks or call 936-261-1903.
