Could this mean the end of life, as we know it? As if.
I doubt that this is the case but when is the last time we have seen snow in late February? Although snow is always welcome to those of us who are from southeast Texas, could climate change be a factor?
Many liberal people in politics believe that our climate is changing because of the constant pollution of our atmosphere. As far left as this is there may be a point to it that’s based on neither scientific theory nor opinion.
The Bible says in The Book of Revelations 11:18 that the Lord would “…destroy them which destroy the earth.” Maybe this could mean that some people actually are destroying the earth. I think a great possibility could be through pollution. Although I’m definitely not pushing for everyone to recycle hardcore or to not use plastic products, that scripture makes me raise an eyebrow.
The earth is a gift from God. When we defile the land with sin, God doesn’t punish the earth; He punishes the people who have misused his gift. Constant planting and harvesting also destroys the farmland by depleting the nutrients that are supposed to be transferred to the food we eat.
So global warming could be an effect of man’s constant efforts to expand and to feed the needs of the growing population. There is a price for greed. Maybe the Bible once again is offering warning that not only does global warming destroy the earth, but also it could mean trouble when standing at judgment.
God’s goal is to protect and preserve the land for the people who meet the qualifications for this end of the world scenario. Who are they?
