College of Business hosts third annual recognition ceremony

On Wednesday, April 20th at 3:00 p.m., the College of Business gave its third annual award recognition ceremony. The focus of the program was to give special recognition to the outstanding efforts of faculty, as well as those efforts of students in the college with outstanding educational achievements.

In addition, students who received scholarships from corporate companies, as well as the companies giving those scholarships were honored.

Every year the department and its corporate sponsors award thousands of dollars in scholarships to students of the College of Business.

“We love our students and their achievements, and we are always so excited to have this program to show them our appreciation.

We are so very proud of all of the scholarships and we, along with our annual corporate sponsors, are happy to pay tribute to the students,” said recruitment and development advisor, Kimberly Gordon.

Among those annual supporters were Boeing Aviation Company-who is this year’s corporate partner of the year, Hewitt and Associates-who gave enough money for eight students to further their education this year, Conoco Phillips-who gave the most scholarships, and the program’s newest supporter, Lockheed Martin.

The department not only honored faculty and students, but it also gave special attention to an esteemed alumni of the College of Business, Jamie House.
