As part of Women’s History Month, the Women’s Council for Leadership and Service held its “Chat-N-Chew,” session on March 2.
The basis of the event was to provide an atmosphere in which the faculty and student body could interact on a personal level. Issues of sexual harassment and voting rights were discussed, as the women in attendance enjoyed refreshments.
Program Coordinator I for the Office of Student Activities and Leadership Shante’ Moore said, “This event was important, because I feel that the students can benefit from the advice and guidance that we have to offer. We can serve as mentors to these young women, which will open up networking opportunities for them.”
