The members of the Students In Free Enterprise team are set to host the fall Music/Entertainment Business Seminar for aspiring artists on Nov. 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the MSC auditorium. The seminar will be followed by the “2005 Stars of the Future” Talent Showcase and Competition at 8 p.m. The Music/Entertainment Seminar will bring to the campus noted recording artists, entertainment lawyers, songwriters, producers and record labels to educate students on the entertainment business.
The talent contest will feature some of Prairie View A&M University’s talented singers, instrumentalists and poets. Other special guests are also being invited for the special talent contest which is being staged as part of the Parents’/Family Weekend to be sponsored by Career Services and Outreach at the university on Nov. 18-19. Auditions for the talent contest are set for Nov. 7 and 8 in Room 216 Evans Hall and students must sign up in Room 201, Evans Hall. As November is National Fiscal Fitness Month, the SIFE Team will also sponsor several seminars on personal finances, credit management, investments and building wealth for the future.
