The 36th annual fall career fair will be held Sept. 20-21 in the Memorial Student Center ballroom. Due to an increase in employment opportunities, this year’s event will be split into two parts. The first day will focus on technical jobs, and the next day will focus on non-technical jobs. The event will last from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
According to the Career Services and Outreach Department, the theme for this year’s fair will be ” Does your image match your ambition?” The fair will highlight the importance of having a professional appearance when seeking employment.
The career fair gives Prairie View students the opportunity to interact with corporate recruiters in an effort to obtain employment and internship opportunities. In an effort to adequately prepare students for the job fair, the Career Center will sponsor professional development seminars to assist students in interviewing techniques, resume writing, dressing for success, salary negotiations, and corporate etiquette.
