The Zeta Beta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. held a seminar on Sept.11 to pay tribute to those who lost their lives as a result of the terrorist attacks. The seminar opened with a welcoming of guests by the master of ceremonies, Matthew Nelson, and was followed by a prayer and a moment of silence.

The film, “United 93,” which shows accounts of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, was screened to give an idea of the horrors faced by passengers.

An open discussion was held to get opinions and to shed light on the day that changed American history.

Testimonials were given on the impact of Sept 11. Doctoral candidate Julian Scott, a panelist, discussed how homeland and airport security, racial profiling, and a general disapproval of the Bush administration have intensified since the attacks.

The seminar ended with a prayer, and a tribute to the men and women whose lives were sacrificed on that fateful day, Sept. 11, 2001.
