Southern Miss. 34, Prairie View 7 – The Golden Eagles (1-1) rebounded from their lackluster performance last week — a 41-13 loss to South Carolina. Southern Miss rolled up 464 yards of total offense. It was the largest margin of victory for the Golden Eagles since a 52-0 win over Alcorn State last year.-UCONN 62, Tex. Southern 3 – Jordan Todman ran for 151 yards and three touchdowns as Connecticut bounced back from a season-opening loss at Michigan by blowing out Texas Southern 62-3 on Saturday.
