The Panther staff is called to Mississippi

Five students of the The Panther Newspaper where choose to attend the 12th Annual National HBCU conference this past weekend. The conference was held in Mississippi’s own Jackson Stace University where improvement skills and networking surrounded each individual who attended. The Panther Newspaper impressed many viewers while also spreading knowledge about Prairie View’s campus life and recent news. The conference included attendance from many media professionals such as the news anchor for the Mississippi news, photographer for a major production company, and also the president of NABJ. At the final night of the conference, an award banquet was held to honor college student’s publications. The Panther Newspaper won no awards but had honorable mention on photography shoot by Ronald Smith.
