Panthers Promoting Healthy Decisions and the Charles Gilpin Players presented a skit and round table discussion about health issues on college campuses in order to inform students of the risks associated with drugs, STDs, and HIV/AIDS.
CGP performed a brief skit displaying multiple scenarios that many students experience during college years.
Twenty to 25 percent of women will be raped in their college career; 75 percent of the time, both the victim and the attacker are under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
According to the event and recent studies, rape victims should wrap their clothing in a paper bag rather than plastic in order to preserve any valuable evidence.
Victims are also advised not to take a shower after the rape, as this can wash away the most crucial evidence needed when pressing charges.
Free HIV/AIDS testing is available in the health center basement Monday through Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
