The men’s and women’s cross country team hosted rival Texas Southern University in Prairie View, Texas for the Prairie View Invitational on Oct. 18.
The Panthers mens cross country team ran four and a half miles beating Texas Southern. Freshman Dinaoli Adam completed the course first running the fastest time of 26:53. Sophomore Lucio Rosas finished shortly behind running a time of 27:01. The women’s team did not share in the success, losing their portion. In thethree and a half mile senior Leticia Bustamante finished first running a time of 19:07.
Both the men and women’s cross country teams will compete Monday Oct. 29 in Clinton, Miss. for their respective SWAC championships .
