Q. Why do you call yourself NAC/2Stocky?
A. I'm from Nacogdoches, so I always rep Nacogdoches. So my brother started calling me Lil Nac. They call me 2Stocky because I have them guns [muscles], and I'm too stocky with it.
Q. When did you start rapping ? Why?
A. In'98 because my older brother was a rapper in a group called Act Bad Clique, and I was recruited into the Clique with my brother. He influenced me to start rapping as well as a lot of other Texas artists today.
Q. What CDs are you listening to right now?
A. Old school UGK, Outkast, Nas, TI, some old school Tupac, pretty much Juvenille, and old school.
Q. Who is your favorite artist?
A. Juvenille, it's something about him that when I listen to his lyrics I'm actually there with him. He paints a picture for me.
Q. What's your inspiration?
A. My son, he's two years old, and I want to be out there on the shelf by the time he turns five. That's my goal.
Q. Have you performed on campus or professionally?
A. I haven't performed on campus. I did talent shows with my group, I haven't done anything solo. I've done a lot of shows professionally: I did a show in Tyler with those Oak Cliff Boys last weekend at a club called Nico's, I did a show with Big Moe in Austin this past Sunday at a club called Caribbean Lights, I have a show this weekend with Big Pokey at a club called Brungo's in Austin, TX. I'm on three mix tapes: Slim Thug's Boss Hogg, What it do DJ Rabbit Rick, and DJ Yellaboy's ________.
Q. What's your favorite song on your CD? Why?
A. All of them are my favorite, but I would have to go with Karo(You outta line) considering that's my first single.
Q. When can we expect your CD to be out?
A. The CD is expected to drop June this year. It's called Majority Rule. Right now I'm working independently with Carnival Beats, which is Salih Williams the hit producer that brought you Bar Baby, Power Up, and Tippin on Four-Fours.
Q. How would you describe your music?
A. Something for the ladies to dance to, and something for the fellas to ride to.
