Singers, choirs, and praise dancers from all across the area came together to celebrate gospel music. The mistress of ceremony was sophomore Breona King, and the special guest for the evening was gospel recording artist David M. Wyatt.
Opening the show was the Voices of Corinth Choir, headed by Glenda Jones, who received a standing ovation for their performance. Praise in Motion graced the stage with motion and dance. Freshman Taushay Sias brought in a spirit of empowerment and comfort with her musical selection.
One Accord blessed the crowd with a praise dance and after that Psalms 42 Minsteries praise danced and closed out the first phase of the program.
After a brief intermission Lydia Love, special programs coordinator, thanked everyone who helped put on the program. Prairie View's own Michael Dixon & Vision gave the crowd an A&B selection, and something to sing and praise about.
At the end of the evening, David Wyatt blessed the crowd with his songs and performance. Junior Krystal Greene said, "It was a nice program, I'm glad someone did something for the Christian crowd. It has been a big emphasis on history during the month, so it was finally nice to see a gospel extravaganza.
King said, "It was a great success, and a wonderful opportunity to expose the student body to various talents within the school and the area. Thanks to all who supported and came out."
