OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Deputy prison warden Randy Parker's wife, Bobbi disappeared with a convicted murderer in 1994 and spent a decade on the run with him. She appeared in court Monday to face charges that she helped him escape.

After his capture in 2005, Randolph Dial said he kidnapped Parker, the wife of deputy warden Randy Parker, at knifepoint then forced her to live with him all those years. But authorities allege the two were romantically involved before the escape, and that she hid him in her car to help him break out, according to an affidavit.

Dial was serving a life sentence for the 1981 slaying of a karate instructor at the time of the escape. A sculptor and painter with a master's degree in art, Dial had been deemed trustworthy enough to stay in minimum security housing outside the prison walls.

For his escape conviction, Dial was sentenced to another seven years in prison, where he died last year at age 62.

She is to return to court on May 15 for a status hearing.

If convicted, Parker could face up to 10 years in prison.
