Abuse, depression, guilt, unworthiness . these are all things I felt almost a year ago.
My life was in shambles. I was lonely and afraid. I felt hopeless. I was to the point where I had no one else to turn to but God.
Today I am so thankful that his mercy was there to lift me up and give me hope again. Life knocked me down and God offered his hand to help me back up! I put my faith in him and took hold.
This world can be a cruel place. Each day we all struggle with life’s uncertainties and hurtful ways. Going to work, going to school, trying to live right, providing for a family; these are all struggles we face in our day to day lives.
We get exhausted, beaten down. We get trampled on. We become overwhelmed with defeat. We feel unworthy. Hopeless.
But how often do we put our cares in God’s hands? Most often, we don’t. We say we don’t have time. We simply wake up to another busy day; get into our routine of rushing from one place to another, and we never stop to ask God for help along the way. Simply put, we feel the way we feel because we have no faith in God.
God tells us in Psalm 46:10, “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”
He gives us reassurance that he is there, but still we doubt and we stray away from him. We would rather put our faith in worldly things than in the one who knows all and sees all – the only one who can truly offer help!
God can perform miracles. He is able. He is mighty and worthy. Without God, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I chose to put my complete trust in him. He turned my life around in the blink of an eye.
I am so thankful for all the blessings he has given me. I owe him so much.
All I know to do is to be faithful to him. I try my best to live right for God, give him praise, and do his will.
When this world has you down and you feel hopeless, there is only one answer: God.
His arms are stretched out waiting for you to run to him. Prayer is an amazing thing; a simple conversation between you and your maker. We all need him today in this world; He is the reassurance we need.
Get down on your knees and pray for him to comfort you and guide you. Give it all to God. When this world knocks you down on your knees . you are in the perfect position to pray.
So today, get on your knees and take his hand!
