 By looking at what the next person has or what they're doing, you distract yourself from all the terrific things you could be producing in your own life.
I know it's hard to stay in your own lane, especially when everyone's paths are so diverse. So many life changes!
It is crazy how everyone is in relationship while you're still single. Some of you are anxious about life after graduation.
Many of you may feel like you're always one step behind everyone. You thought you would be further along in your life than where you are currently.
People are starting families and they seem to be so established. TRUST ME I GET IT! But you must understand that everyone has their own season. Heather Lindsey said it best "Don't compare you're your chapter 1 to someone else's chapter 10!
You never know what someone had to go through to get to their current state.
Also, I need you to understand that you are your own worst critic.
Stop allowing yourself to feel inadequate because of incessant comparing. It does not matter how much money the next person has.
How beautiful or handsome they are. Don't envy their cars, clothes, or notoriety. Don't base your worth on your twitter followers.
Judge yourself according to yourself. Look at the things you have accomplished thus far. What do you aspire to achieve in the future.
What makes you a good person? Everyone has their own purpose, so take time to discover what you have to contribute to the world.
Focusing on these will allow you to see what is really important.
Stay in your lane, because no one can do you better you. You are a special person with a gift that only you can offer.
Finally, God is the only on we should look to as the standard. Each day our goal should be to look and live more like him.
He does not judge on carnal things, but the condition of our hearts. Remember that. Above all else, do you in HIM!
