Students adjust attire based upon weather predictions

Texas is known for its unpredictable weather, so it was no wonder some students at Prairie View A&M University had a lot to say about how the weather affects them on campus.
The weather this week has been surprisingly cold for the beginning of the spring season but with the recent temperature fluctuations occurring around campus students have found various ways to adjust to it.
"I think its global warming to be honest, but that's all good with me. I keep a separate pair of clothes in my backpack to change into just in case it suddenly gets hot," said senior education major Deja Wixom.
La'Porsha Jones, a freshman social work major, feels certain weather episodes makes it hard to concentrate her studies and focuses mostly on the proper attire for the occasion.
"I wont go to class if it's raining because all my rain clothes are ugly. Weather can really get in the way of your studies and sometimes the weather messes up your personality. That is not a good thing to have when you're going into a classroom," said Jones.
However, freshman psychology major Nicie King does not see how weather could hinder her educational pursuits.
"I don't let the weather affect me at all. If it was snowing like a blizzard I would still go to my classes. The weather is like a second thought to me; it does affect my mood, but not my education," she said.
For sophomore mass communication major Khaya Carter it is easier for her to predict the weather and apply that to the day while also being primed for the changes that may come.
"Weather does have a bearing on what I wear, but the recent weather patterns have been tricky from 88 to 60, so it's basically having a variety of clothes and being equipped for anything."
"Carter advises students to always check the weather and dress accordingly. Don't ever forget that it's Texas.
