Timothy Bryant named Mr PV 2012-2013
Junior agricultural economics major Timothy Bryant was crowned Mr. Prairie View A & M University 2012- 2013 Wednesday, April 18.
The theme "Faces of Greatness" adequately expressed the abundance of talent displayed by the contestants.
The contestants were creative when it came to the talent and active wear portions of the pageant and the competition remained stiff throughout the on-stage question and answer portion.
Bryant captivated the audience with a monologue titled,"What is a black man in the 21st century?"
In addition to capturing the title of Mr. Prairie View A & M University, Bryant won the titles of best private interview, best talent, and he tied with Roland Champine for best formal wear.
"I felt truly blessed and honored to be extended the opportunity to represent my university and to be placed in a position that will allow me to implement my platform. This whole semester has led up to this moment and I am truly grateful. It's nothing but God. I am just thankful and anxious to see what else he has in store for me," said Bryant.
Members of next year's court will include junior Carl Jones as first runner up, and junior Connor Benskin as second runner up.
