Panther Staff says goodbye
It has been a long journey and my time here at Prairie View A&M University is up...for good.
As a freshman I was oblivious to the opportunities this university had to offer.
My plan was to just go to class for the next four years and graduate.
Participating in school activities was not in my agenda, but as usual my plans never follow through.
The one thing I thought I would never do, I did. Becoming part of The Panther was one of the greatest things to happen to me during my time here.
I discovered a side of me that I did not think existed or ever would exist.
Scheane', D'Ann, Amanda, BriAna, Pierre, Andre', Anthony and Julius have made this is experience more than amazing.
Together we have produced a newspaper that has entertained, enlightened, and informed students each week.
With all of the late nights, funny jokes, and interesting conversations we became a little family.
I am truly grateful to have worked with such a great group of people who strive for the best in everything. My Tuesday's and Wednesday's will never be the same.
I thank God for allowing me to have such a supportive and encouraging family.
From the beginning, they have always motivated me to do my absolute best, constantly reminding me to study and always on my back about various things.
Even though they tell me the things I do not want to hear, I am glad that they did because I definitely would not be where I am today without them.
Amber and Shuntara are two women who have been by my side during this long journey.
During the bad times, they have always managed to keep me laughing and level headed.
It is not often you come across friends that you can comfortably run to about anything and really be yourself around.
I am thankful and proud to call them lifelong friends.
Prairie View has definitely been a learning experience.
I have grown into a better woman and gained so much from being here.
I am honored to be obtaining my degree from this university and I must say I will miss it a little, more than a little, when I'm gone. Bye.
