Prairie View A&M suffered a 1-0 loss in to South Carolina State Sunday afternoon to close out its east coast road trip.
The Lady Panthers were out-shot 13-2 on a day where they struggled to get into a flow offensively in Orangeburg, S.C.
Freshman midfielder Kara Ballard got off Prairie View's only two shots of the game.
In the 31st minute she kicked in a shot that was saved by SCSU keeper Mariah Hebbe.
In the 33rd minute her kick was a little too high and the ball hit the crossbar.
In the 72nd minute SCSU broke the scoreless game open with a Morgan Roesler goal and an assist from Veronica Aguilar to take the 1-0 lead.
Prairie View goalie Bianca Garza finished with four saves in 90 minutes of keeping.
The Lady Panthers will host Houston-Victoria on Tuesday in an attempt to try to bounce back from the two-game losing streak suffered in South Carolina.
